The Whittier Hills are a wilderness area and as such present certain inherent dangers. Visitors must be aware of these dangers, and know they can minimize risks on trails by being informed, prepared, and alert.
It should not be assumed that the trail descriptions on this site are any guarantee of their safety. Trail conditions change daily, and enjoying a trail safely depends on one's conditioning, experience, and ability.
